Released in July 2008, 13 years old ‘Maderensis Fumosus’ (Latin for ‘smoky Madeira’) is a heavily peated BenRiach, originally matured in American oak, then finished in Madeira wine barrels. Bottled at natural colour and non chill filtered, availability is very limited.

Tasting Notes
NOSE
Rich peat reek with vanilla, cocoa, spices and tropical fruits.
COLOUR
Lively straw gold.
PALATE
An avalanche of bitter sweet peat and smoke, in harmony with citrus, butterscotch, peaches and cinnamon.
